Gino Titus-Luciano, LMHC, CPC, NCC
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Over the past decade, I have devoted myself to the mental health field, transitioning from hands-on clinical roles to strategic administrative leadership. My educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Central Michigan University, later advancing with clinical training from Northwestern University’s esteemed Masters of Mental Health Counseling program.
Licensed as a Mental Health Counselor in Hawaii and holding a national counselor certification with NBCC, my professional contributions are multifaceted. I’ve offered therapeutic services, encompassing within the Department of Public Safety, Child Welfare Services and in private practice with Kokua MHW Group. This work has involved diverse interventions like psychoeducation, group sessions, and both individual, couples and family therapies.
In my leadership roles, I served as a Clinical Supervisor for a non-profit initiative under the Department of Human Services, leading a passionate team of therapists, our mission was to provide comprehensive therapeutic interventions, combining clinical services, skill development, and psychoeducation. My leadership journey also saw me at the helm as a Program Director for a non-profit’s youth mental health program, in collaboration with the Hawaii Department of Health, where I provided administrative oversight and mentorship to a state-wide team of clinicians and administrative staff. Lastly, I am an affiliate faculty member in the graduate program at Northwestern University, providing group supervision and instructing introductory to counseling methods.

My Approach & Values
At the core of my therapeutic approach is a steadfast belief that the relationship between the therapist and the client is the cornerstone for transformative change. I am deeply convinced that in the sanctuary of a genuine and trusting therapeutic bond, individuals can experience corrective emotional shifts, which play a vital role in healing past traumas and navigating present challenges. My treatment philosophy is rooted in the understanding that everyone carries a unique narrative, colored by their experiences, emotions, and aspirations. As such, my role transcends the traditional paradigms of a counselor. I see myself as both a facilitator, illuminating paths previously unseen or untraveled, and a partner, walking side-by-side with you through the intricacies of your story.
Engaging in therapy is a courageous step towards self-exploration and change. Recognizing this, my approach is always tailored, striving to create a safe and non-judgmental space where open dialogues can blossom. Here, we can collaboratively delve into areas of difficulty, identifying and building on strengths, and paving the way for resilience, empowerment, and profound healing. My commitment, in every session, is to be present, attuned, and genuinely invested in your journey toward wellbeing and fulfillment.
